Kelley has been serving charter schools and school districts in many capacities for over 12 years.  She began her career at Plante Moran, PLLC where she spent nearly 80 percent of her time providing financial statement audits and consulting services to charter school and school district clients. Her focus is aligning schools with the state requirements as well as ensuring fidelity with grant management.  Kelley obtained her degree in Accounting from Oakland University.

Christian has over 8 years of experience supporting schools in the areas of student information and organizational compliance. He prices himself on his 100% on time and 100% accuracy records with authorizers and state reporting agencies. He holds a Masters degree from Grand Valley State University in Educational Leadership and Administration and a Masters degree from Oakland University in Education: Reading Language Arts.​

Heather Gardner is the founder & CEO of 21st Vision. Heather’s diverse experience includes over 16 years of experience running a $100 million auto supply company with 500 team members as the Chief Executive Officer and over 10 years of experience working with charter schools and their stakeholders to accomplish the Academy’s academic and operational goals.


Heather approaches her clients’ needs from a strategic perspective, learning about their business and organizational issues and helping them align their policies and practices with their business objectives and strategies. Her work is focused on optimizing an organization’s performance and potential through strategic, purpose-driven organizational structures and effective operating practices.


Heather is collaborative in nature and leads as such, but also embraces accountability to all stakeholders, including the Board of Directors of the Academy. While Heather is knowledgeable and experienced in all facets of the day-to-day operations inside a school, she has built a strong team with committed expertise to each area.

Heather is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Operations Supply Chain Management – Operations.

Melissa has over 10 years of charter school experience, which includes 8 years of public accounting experience providing financial statement audits, federal programs audits, and internal control consulting services to school districts and charter schools at Plante Moran, PLLC.  Melissa served as a technical standards reviewer for client financial statements within the school practice, as well as conducted external financial statement trainings for school business officials for MSBO.  Melissa obtained her degree in Accounting from Oakland University.
